Newly Appointed Chinese Ambassador to Uganda Wu Guangrong Presents Copy of Credentials
On August 14, H.E. Wu Guangrong, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Uganda, presented a copy of his credentials to Hon. Adonia Ayebare, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uganda.

Ambassador Wu stated that, under the personal care and strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between China and Uganda has continued to deepen, yielding fruitful results in practical cooperation across various fields. He noted that it is a great honor to assume office as the 19th Chinese Ambassador to Uganda at this important juncture, as the two countries approach the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and as President Museveni and the Ugandan government embark on a new term of office. He expressed his readiness to work closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda and all sectors of society, to bring bilateral relations to new heights.
Hon. Ayebare extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Wu and said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda would spare no effort to facilitate and support Ambassador Wu in the performance of his duties. Highly valuing the traditional friendly relations between Uganda and China, the Minister emphasized the desire to take Ambassador Wu’s appointment as an opportunity to work with the Chinese side to elevate the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two countries to a new level.
Ambassador Wu Guangrong arrived in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, on August 10.
